What exactly is preParti? We started preParti in the hopes of bringing the events and wedding industry into the 21st century. When we first started, the idea sounded good. My brother, Dosa had been working in the movie and game industries as a VFX artist. Having graduated from Gnomon, one of the most highly regarded schools for 3D work, his skills for making monsters and robots were second to none. Check out his reel:
While he was out in LA working on monsters and robots, I was in Atlanta building the largest linen company in the city. Servicing everyone from Applebee's to Bacchanalia, one of the best restaurants in the city, along with large venues such as the Braves Stadium, I helped build a company that was trusted among the best chefs and business owners in Atlanta.
Last year, Dosa decided he wanted to move back to Atlanta and work on a different project. As brother and sister, we wanted to build a business together. Our parents were immigrants and entrepreneurs, and they instilled in us the same spirit. We started with the idea of preParti from a project that he had worked on with one of our current partners, Nicholas Carozza. It was an architectural project for a firm that needed to visualize their space and how it would look built out.
We saw people had a hard time visualizing real spaces.
Because I had been working with spaces and people in the events industry, plus I remember how it was when I got married, we thought there needed to be something to help people visualize event spaces in a new way.
We did some research and found that there were people in the space already. Big guys like Social Tables and AllSeated had tons of funding and a head start, but as we dug a little deeper we saw that they were only on the web and had not gone mobile. Our world was running towards mobility and the next generation already used their phones more than their desktops.
We couldn't believe no one had created something mobile for the consumer!
All of the options out there were for internal use for the professional, and to top it all off the layouts were basic and didn't give the visual respect the venues deserved.

After a year of product development with our partners Nick and Julie McCartney, we used existing technology in a new way to help people visualize what their event could look like. preParti was made to help people search for venues in a new way that didn't require going from website to website, and a new way to plan a wedding or an event with planners, friends, and family.
Our mission is to help people visualize real spaces so they can make better decisions about where to hold their social and milestone events.
